Progress park provides the only sanctioned off-leash dog run in the district. The run, adjacent to HWY 280 on ramp, is owned by Caltrans and maintained by the GBD. The GBD provides annual replacement of the park’s bark chips and other upkeep. The GBD has also improved the safety and usability of the park by adding a second entrance gate and a planter/barrier with a hedge of podocarpus along the ramp fence line.

Added a second sally port entrance for greater safety and convenience.
Altered grade and drainage to send pooling water to planted areas.
Repaired leaks and altered the water delivery system at the site to discourage abuse and
nserve water, cutting water usage by 30%.
